We've been on the road a lot

I didn't post anything last night because the internet was non-existent at the hotel.  It was still too cold in Birmingham, Alabama, to use the RV.

We left Florence, Kentucky, pretty early Thursday morning.

It was an even longer day than the day before, but 2 hours was spent at a truck wash to get rid of the salt and dirt from the truck and RV (they said it would be half an hour).  It did make a huge difference in how everything looked though.

A very dirty truck (and RV).

Getting cleaned.

Beautiful!

Even the tires were being "shone up".

We crossed into the Central time zone in Kentucky, just north of Nashville, and went right by downtown Nashville and Titans stadium.  I've been there 3 times, so it was just a drive-by this time.  I just love the "batman building".

We tend to do a lot of this on the trip.

So we made it to Birmingham, Alabama last night.  This morning, we moseyed on down the Interstate to New Orleans (it was raining most of the way).

And now have our RV set up at Pontchartrain Landing.  Nice park and marina right on the lake, but they've had a LOT of rain recently, so things are a little drenched.  We drained the anti-freeze, although I'm not so sure we should have!  It's only 8C here right now.  Yikes.  But we turned the furnace on to get the chill out, and have a heater running inside. We'll survive.

There's a shuttle bus from the RV park to downtown New Orleans, which is ideal.  Tonight though we just picked up some groceries to do a little stocking up and cleaned up the trailer from its being in storage for the last few months.

Tomorrow...New Orleans.
