Tucson, the City

2 days in a row I've made it to fitness class, and Gerard has walked the perimeter (twice today), which he has determined is about 1-1/2 miles per lap.  Good start to getting better fit.  It's so nice to be outdoors most of the time.  Another beautiful day...pretty cool in the morning, but the cloudless sky really warms it up.

We wanted to get some information on where hiking trails are in the area, so we found where the Visitors Center (sp :( ) is in downtown Tucson and drove there.

Since we were parked downtown, we thought we would take advantage of it and do the downtown walking tour the office recommended, and leave the hiking to another day.

This is the Tourist Office.

This orange tree looks great from a distance, but I don't think the oranges would taste very good.  They're too perfect.

The founding of Tucson is from this historic site, and all that's left is the Presidio Wall and a small section of the interior.  I think presidio means fort, or something like that.

This is the old courthouse

Gerard found Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday near the old train station.

After about 2 hours downtown, we headed back to the RV for lunch with Tibby (sucky dog).  Gerard decided to go to the pickle ball training camp.  Here he is in fine form already.

Our neighbour has this cute little wire bug lawn ornament thing.  I love what she's done with it!

Tomorrow we're thinking about heading out to Sabino Canyon.  Supposed to be nice.
